18 WEEKS

16 weeks then 18 weeks

How far along: 18 weeks 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs since last appointment four weeks ago. So 14 total. My midwife said its a little too much so I need to limit my carb intake, eat more fruits and vegetables, and exercise more.
Maternity clothes? Mostly maternity but still a little of both
Sleep: Pretty good
Best moment this week: Hearing baby girl's heartbeat on the doppler with the midwife :)
Movement? Still only really small taps. Hoping for some more this week!
Food cravings: Sushi and deli meat
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Sushi and deli meat
What I am looking forward to: Spring break starting next Friday! And the anatomy scan also next Friday. I'm a little nervous for this one too because this is when we will find out if anything is wrong
Milestones: Almost halfway there!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Really tired after work, some leg cramps, and really thirsty
Showing? Getting a little bigger. Two people asked me this week! YAY
Size of baby: Sweet potato. About 5.6 inches and 6.7 ounces
What Baby is up to: Her bones are starting to harden and she's hiccuping, yawning, kicking, punching, swallowing, and sucking. She is a busy girl!

Subway Tuna Wednesdays

So last Wednesday was my first ever tuna sandwich from Subway and lets just say...I'm in LOOOOVE! Unfortunately I am only allowed tuna once a week so I've to wait 7 whole days until my next one which will be in about 30 minutes. So excited. And because all my posts need to have pictures...

Stroller Decisions

Hello all! So here is what we are trying to decide on. The Uppababy Vista OR the Bob. Both are beautiful and very functional.

THE BOB

This is the Bentley of jogging strollers. It is super easy to maneuver, has a carseat adapter (for extra $), and has a large storage underneath for your things. I don't like that it doesn't come with a cupholder. But you can buy them separately. I can also walk a lot with baby girl, even jog if I want to. We saw Bob's everywhere in our town and anyone we talk to who has one raves about it. They all say they wouldn't get any other stroller after having the Bob

THE UPPABABY VISTA

My favorite thing about this stroller? The bassinet. I would just love to push baby girl around in a vintage looking bassinet stroller. Only problem is you can only use the bassinet up until 3-5 months old. Another thing I love about this stroller is that the seat comes off and you can use it with the carseat like a SnapnGo. Which I think are very functional but oh so ugly. So basically I would love this stroller for baby girl but the features I like about it are to be used only while she is an infant. I'm sure its a great stroller even after the infant stage, but I would prefer the Bob for the older months/years.

Oh decisions, decisions!

Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In

Job Offer

My new job? As some of you know, my job right now is working with the school district and subbing for LVN nurses who have a 1:1 student. I am an RN but not working as one right now. But today I got a job offer to work for my district as one of the RN's. I would be assigned to 5 schools in our district (one including the high school Tony works at. Major bonus!). If I wasn't pregnant right now, I would jump on this and probably be really excited. My hesitation is about next year after Bean arrives. My due date is August 31st so originally I had planned to stay home with baby girl until Christmas-break then only go back 2 days a week. This is going to be a lot harder with the new job since its a full time position and I am definitely not working full time after she gets here. I will have to go back earlier but hopefully I can find a way to make it only 2 days a week... We will see. But in the mean time, I've decided to accept the job and try it out. So as of now, I am SRV school district's newest school nurse! EEEk.

16 weeks

How far along: 16 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs last doctor appointment
Maternity clothes? Wearing mostly maternity pants and starting to wear maternity shirts. I don't really need the shirts yet but my regular ones aren't long enough to cover the band on the maternity pants. Plus the regular ones just make me look like I have a food baby and maternity actually makes me look a little pregnant
Sleep: Crazzzzy dreams lately. Also I had to get up to pee 6 times a few nights ago
Best moment this week: We registered! That was fun :)
Movement? Not too much, but I did notice that when I play loud music she moves. Its nothing strong just like tiny little taps. I cant wait til I can really feel her move!
Food cravings: Sushi, deli sandwiches, Fentons. Same as always
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Sushi and deli meat
What I am looking forward to: Picking up our crib and dresser this week
Milestones: Making it to second trimester
Things I've been experiencing this week: Sleepy, sore nipples (sorry to any guys who are reading this)
Showing? A tiny bump
Size of baby: Avocado and 3.5 oz! Getting bigger...

This has been a long but good week! Some highlights were: getting to work 3 days at Tony's school this week, wearing full on maternity outfits, rain alllll week, and my favorite mother-in-law getting Bean's dresser. We get to pick up the crib and dresser this week from Babies R Us!!!
More pictures from the week...
 Full maternity outfit!

 Belly progression: 12-16 weeks

Found this hat on Etsy. I decided Bean needs one for Christmas! So cute

I found these new photo apps and decided to play around so the above 2 are the ones I came up with so far :)

Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs last doctor appointment
Maternity clothes? Wearing some maternity pants now. I have one pair of regular jeans that still fit so I am wearing those too

Best moment this week: Seeing baby girl in 3D!

Food cravings: Sushi, deli sandwiches, Fentons
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Sushi and deli meat
What I am looking forward to: Next weekend. I love weekends :)
Milestones: Making it to second trimester
Things I've been experiencing this week: Sleepy

150% a GIRL!!!

Today we had our 3D gender scan and the tech said she was 150% sure baby is a girl! YAY! Baby was moving around so much and she was just too cute. The tech said she looks very healthy and big for 15 weeks. And just one baby! Haha.

Here is a shot of her lady parts

Tech was trying to show her little nose in this shot

 Hand by her face

 Such a little lady :)

Because I have the best mom in the world, after our ultrasound we went to Babies R Us and she bought us this beautiful crib! The dressers are also in the same collection so we are hoping to get those too

Ok...off to the dog park now!

Bath Time

Ok, I realize no one really thinks someone else's dogs are that cute but ours are! We went to the park again tonight to let the dogs get out some of their energy and both got slobbered on by a Rottweiler that was very sweet but kind of obsessed with them. Anyways, they both majorly needed baths when we got home. I had to document it because I think they are too cute for words.

Zoey hates her baths so much, she shakes the whole time. So when she gets out, YES, I wrap her up like a baby and we sit together quietly in the dark in the second bedroom while she gets dried and calms down. There is a chance she might be a little spoiled. The picture above is Zoey right after her "being held" time while Oakley was getting his bath.

Oakley also hates getting his baths. When we call him into the bathroom and he gets picked up to be put in the tub, his eyes get HUGE like he is so scared. Lol I really need to get a picture one day because its so darn funny.

My Doppler is Making Me Wonder...

So tonight I'm playing with my doppler and pick up baby's heartbeat on the left side at 157-160 and I asked Tony as a joke, "What if i found another heartbeat on here? Would you freak out?" and before he could answer, I moved it to the right side and instantly picked up a heartbeat 153-156. I moved it back and forth so I know the bub wasnt moving from side to side. And they both sounded exactly like a fetal heartbeat, not an artery. SO I'm confused. We have had like 5 ultrasounds and they've only seen one baby, but they haven't looked for another one since the 7 week ultrasound. Could they miss one???? We have the 3D scan tomorrow so I'm going to ask the tech to double check. There must be some logical explanation for it, right?!

Boredom

This is my second post tonight...ok even in the same hour lol. But I'm bored waiting for Tony to get out of class so we can go eat. I just took this picture because I SWEAR my bump looks bigger today!! Please excuse the messy room. It's our "catch-all" room right now and will eventually be Bean's room (and not this awful purple color)

Starting to look a little round there, eh?

Also I have to share this onsie we found online. If Bean turns out to be a boy, we are so getting this!

Prenatal Yoga

This was me tonight - minus the red hair and air lift. I did my first prenatal yoga class tonight and it was quite wonderful! It was only me, another preggo, and the instructor. The other lady was 36 weeks pregnant, so I had the tiniest most ridiculous little bump compared to hers. Lol oh well, mine will get there. Anyways both were so much fun and we joked about the joys of pregnancy. I think it was relaxing for Little Bean and me so I'm going to make it at least a weekly ritual. They have the class at night Mon-Wed so there are lots of available times. When I got out of the class tonight the smell of pizza was in the air so that's what we will have as soon as Tony gets out of his class. OH YUM.

In other news, we have our 3D gender confirmation ultrasound this Friday and I'm so excited to finally find out the gender for sure! Hopefully Bean won't have her legs crossed...

Weekend

This weekend was just too beautiful not to be outside! 72 degrees and bright and sunny. Saturday was a lot of fun. We woke up early and went to our favorite breakfast place, Katys Korner and enjoyed our meal outside. We then took the dogs to the park because it was beautiful out and it was the first day the park had been open in months. After that my mom, Tony's mom and I went to Babies R Us to look at the furniture and bedding sets. By the time we got home, I was so exhausted, I layed down and napped for about 2 hours. Then it was time to go to our friend Steph's surprise birthday party. We ended up having a great time, filled with awesome food and friends. There were 4 pregnant people there, including myself. I'm glad I'm pregnant because that would have been really hard if we were still in the infertility struggle. We met some great new people and had a blast. Sunday (today) is another perfect day. Perfect for the dog park :) Oakley and Zoey had so much fun running around...then came home and crashed on the cool tile floor. Before we went to the park, Tony and I stopped by the mall to return something when we ran into the stand in the mall that sells baby headbands. The ones with the big flowers and bows. I was in love. They were on sale. We bought some.

Aren't they precious??

And here is a picture of Miss Zoey at the park... its hard to get one of Oakley because once we are there, he totally distances himself from us. He is off socializing and doesn't want to hang out with his mama

PS. Another cool thing about this weekend - I wore maternity capris both days and they fit perfectly! MATERNITY PANTS! ME!

14 Weeks!

Please ignore my face, lol its a terrible picture!

Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs
Maternity clothes? Nope but Tony's cousin Kim just gave me a TON!
Sleep: Still getting up to pee a lot
Best moment this week: My hubby and I laughing UNcontrollably at the doctor's office over a sex flyer. Also very embarrassing :)
Movement? Tiny little pokes from inside. It has to be the baby right?!
Food cravings: Sushi, deli sandwiches, McDonald's chicken sandwich
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Sushi and deli meat
What I am looking forward to: Gender confirmation 3D ultrasound next friday!
Milestones: Making it to second trimester
Things I've been experiencing this week: Sleepy but I've had a bad horrific cold/flu all week
Showing? Eh, mostly bloat but I think it looks bigger now cuz my uterus is starting to push my bloat up. The bump's getting harder
Size of baby: Lemon, 3.4 inches!

Today marks 14 weeks of my pregnancy! We just got back from an appointment with our midwife, who was AWESOME btw. She reassured us there is nothing to be concerned about with the 2-vessel cord and no special precautions need to be taken at this point. YAY. She also did a quick ultrasound (and by quick I mean only like 30 seconds) just long enough to see and hear the heartbeat. Baby was turned upside down with her back to us so we could really only see her head and her arm. Haha, her hand was laying on her forehead like she was saying "oh no not this again." It was very cute.
So according to thebump.com, baby is this size this week...

A pregnancy app I have says this week the baby can now squint, frown, grimace, and pee. Her kidneys are now producing urine and letting it out into the amniotic fluid. Her liver starts producing bile and the spleen starts helping make red blood cells. She also has her very own fingerprints! All very exciting stuff for her mama :)

So after the appointment today, my mom met us at Target and got the baby some outfits!

And last week after finding out it's probably a girl, Tony's mom got us this adorable little outfit

And here are my sweet peas

My Favorite Things

There are definitely some items that I have fallen in love with during this pregnancy! Things I can't won't live without now. Here's my list...

1. My blanket. My friend Becky made this quit for me last year and I.Love.It. It's so comfy and warm and the best part is that its homemade with love! :) I've been using it during my daily naps and won't use anything else. Isn't she so talented??? (Not only is she talented in sewing, but she is an amazing photographer!! You can see her work on her blog www.comcapphotoblog.com. Check it out)

2. Hot water bottle. This just makes nap/couch time so much better.

3. Doppler. This is my freak-out moment lifesaver! Any time I have doubts, I get out the doppler and listen to the sweet sound of baby!

4. Rubber Bands. These little babies come in handy for holding my non-maternity pants up while unbuttoned. It is way too tight to button my jeans up so I've been using the rubber band trick and it works like a charm :)

5. Pinterest. I've been finding so many cute nursery ideas through pinterest! I love them all. It's going to be really hard to find just the right one. This is one example...how cute is that?!

6. iPhone. Since I have been super duper lazy lately, I don't really feel like getting up to go to the computer. My phone has been very handy to check Facebook, emails, and my pregnancy apps.

7. Whattoexpect.com. This is where I get a lot of my pregnancy questions answered BUT the best part is the August 2012 community forum. It's the site where all women who are due that month can go to support one another/ ask questions, etc. It is truly fantastic because all of these women are so hormonal, all from different walks of life, and boy do they all have their own opinions on things! Sometimes I log on to ask/answer a question, but I mostly go on for entertainment. The drama is awesome.

So that's all I can think of for now! We have an appointment with our midwife tomorrow so you can expect an update. Have a great night everyone!!
