Total weight gain/loss: Up 32 lbs as of my 29week appointment
Maternity clothes? Yep
Sleep: Pretty good!
Best moment this week: Baby shower at Tony's cousin Kim's house. It was BEAUTIFUL!
Movement? Lots of movement. This girl can go nuts.
Food cravings: Water and fruit
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Philly rolls and deli sandwiches
What I am looking forward to: Fourth of July and my birthday! (the 5th)
Milestones: Officially past 30 weeks!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Feet hurting, some heartburn, carpal tunnel in the mornings
Showing? Yes!
Size of baby: Size of a cucumber, 15.2-16.7 inches in length and 2.5-3.8 lbs.
What Baby is up to: She is strong enough to grasp a finger now! Her brain is getting wrinklier to make room for brain tissue, and her skin is getting smoother as she gains more fat

Phew! Things have been a little crazy around here since summer started only a week and a half ago. It started out a little rough. Last Sunday (Fathers day) we had to say goodbye to our little Isabelli (my mom and my's dog we got when I was still in high school). It was very unexpected...she passed in her sleep so while that was good for her, not suffering or in any pain, it was extremely difficult for us. Especially because just the night before she was over at our house playing and bossing around the other dogs, being her usual spunky self. The first few days were so hard on us but its becoming a lot easier as time goes by. I miss her so much and I'm sad she can't meet Kenadie but I'm thankful for the time we had with her and that she never suffered.

Anyways, then our good friends Shea and Becky arrived a couple of nights ago from Florida and are staying a whole month! We are so excited they are here and can't wait to spend this month with them. They were our neighbors when we lived in Florida in our married housing a.k.a "Mango". Its too bad everyone from our Mango community can't be here! It was such a great group of people and Tony and I miss everyone SO MUCH!

Also, I had my first family baby shower this past Saturday and it was so beautifully done...everything was just perfect. They had a ladybug theme which was adorable. I only have a few pictures from my phone so I will post those for now. Thanks again to Kim and Jeni for throwing such a fun shower!

Let's see, what else... we are still enjoying our birthing class so much. We are learning tons of relaxation techniques and laboring positions to use when the big day comes. I have always planned on getting an epidural, because duh, why wouldn't you? BUT now I am almost thinking it might be a fun(?) challenge to myself to try to go all natural without an epidural. My main reasoning being you are so limited in laboring positions with an epidural. No walking, no labor ball, no standing, etc. I don't know... we will see.

A few shower pictures:
Diaper cake. Kim made this but it totally looks professionally done!

My mom-in-law made this fruit baby. It was so cute!

Me and Ashley, my good friend and birthday twin!

Some randoms from the week:

My dad just got us this carseat for Kenadie. Starting to feel like we may actually be having a baby! Haha

My new obsession from Domenico's. The main best ingredient: roasted red bell pepper mayo. Ohmygosh - delicious! Also has cream cheese, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and a slice of mozzarella. I don't know if it makes up for the fact that I can't eat deli meat but it comes pretty dang close!

My funny Zoey girl

Nursery progress:
Kenadie's grandparents (my in-laws) got us this beautiful dresser! I am just in love with this furniture set. It's exactly what I have always wanted and it looks perfect in the nursery. They also got us the four drawer taller dresser from the picture below next to the crib. Thanks again Mom and Dad O!

Here's a better picture of the glider and ottoman from the parents in Tony's class. It is SO comfy and looks awesome in the nursery. I literally sit in that chair at least 5 times a day to sit and rock and think about what else I want to do to the room. Sometimes Tony will sit on the ottoman and we will read the baby a story. Cheesy I know, but it makes us feel closer to her. And you can see the boppy pillow our friends Jenny and Jon sent us from FL! I can't wait to use it!

Showing off the quilt our friend Becky made for Kenadie. I am in love with this quilt and was secretly hoping we would get one from her because I love all of the quilts she makes. I can't wait for Kenadie to have tummy time on it!

Here is the other side of the quilt AND showing off the mobile my mom just got for the crib in addition to all of the bedding! Adorable is the only way to describe this mobile. It has little starfish and seahorses hanging on it and totally completes the crib. Thank you mom!!

Ok, off to dinner to celebrate my mom-in-law's birthday!!! Happy birthday shoutout to the world's greatest mother-in-law! We love you!

I promise to not go two weeks without an update again! :)

28 Weeks

How far along: 28 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: We will find out next Friday
Maternity clothes? Yes
Sleep: Okay...
Best moment this week: Our first baby shower thrown by Tony's class!
Movement? Got to start the kick counts this week. I did my first one yesterday. The way it works is: you pick a time of day that baby is most active and see how long it takes to feel 10 movements. I have an awesome app on my iphone that makes it really easy. It starts a timer and everytime you feel a kick/movement, you press the kick button. It automatically stops at 10. Anyways, yesterday she kicked 10 times in 3 min, 55 sec. Not too bad! (You are supposed to call L&D if you don't feel 10 kicks in two hours)
Food cravings: Water and iced chai lattes
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Philly rolls and deli sandwiches
What I am looking forward to: Only 4 more days of school until summer! Bring.It.On!
Milestones: We are officially in the third trimester!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Carpal tunnel syndrome, major heartburn last night, slight feet swelling, and NO energy after being active all day
Showing? Yes!
Size of baby: Size of an eggplant, 13.6-14.8 inches, and 1.5-2.5 pounds (the numbers are the same as week 27, now its a big range weights and lengths of babies at this point)
What Baby is up to: She putting on more and more fat, which from now on all of her new weight gain will be due to.  She is also blinking her eyes now :)

We had an AMAZING first baby shower on Monday. The amount of work that was put into it by his students, class paras, and the parents is incredible. It looked absolutely gorgeous when I walked in and I was stunned to see our nursery glider and ottoman sitting there, all put together and everything! The kids made a cake that was decorated with pink frosting and bath toys. And believe it or not, there was another beautiful cake there from a store with a cute little design. They had a wonderful lunch prepared and gave Kenadie tons of presents. Needless to say, it was so much more than we ever could have imagined and we feel so blessed to have so many people who already love this baby. I wish I had more pictures from the shower (we will get them from everyone soon), but for now here are the ones taken from our phones...
The students decorated the board, so cute!

Kenadie's presents!

I will post the other pictures as soon as I have them! I can't wait to show them off :)

Tony and his dad painted the nursery this week! And they put together the crib yesterday, so now we have her crib, one dresser, and the glider in the room. All we have left is the long dresser which will be used as the changing table. Can't wait to have it all set up. It's definitely moving along!

Showing off her quilt

This was taken on thursday, the last night of our 2nd trimester

27 Weeks

How far along: 27 weeks 2 days
Total weight gain/loss: Up another 2 lbs since 25 weeks
Maternity clothes? Yep, so comfy. I don't think I will ever give them up!
Sleep: Good for the most part. But every night right before I go to bed, I crave ice water and can't get enough. So I have to get up for the bathroom 2-5 times per night.
Best moment this week: Going to our first birthing class yesterday
Movement? If you've read my L&D post, you know I put a lot of thought into her every movement. Then, I was worried about her moving too little. Ever that night, she has been moving so much. Last night when we got in bed, it was the most we have ever seen! My belly looked like she was on a rollercoaster inside, just rolling from side to side and jiggling the whole belly. Tony and I were amazed, then I started worrying maybe she was tangled in her cord and she was trying to get out. Oh boy, I really never will stop worrying.
Food cravings: Water, fruit, and salad
Gender prediction: GIRL
Belly button in or out? In
What I miss: Philly rolls and deli sandwiches
What I am looking forward to: Our first baby shower tomorrow! Tony has this amazing class of students, class paras/aides, and parents. They are throwing us a shower in class and lucky me I got the day off! So excited.
Milestones: This is the last week of my second trimester!
Things I've been experiencing this week: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome...My hands are so numb and tingly when I wake up in the morning so I asked the doctor last week and she said it was the carpal tunnel. And very painful leg cramps.
Showing? Yes!
Size of baby: Size of a rutabaga (whatever that is!), 13.6-14.8 inches, and 1.5-2.5 pounds.
What Baby is up to: She is practicing inhaling and exhaling (of her amniotic fluid) and even showing brain activity now. Pregnancy is amazing isn't it?

We started our birthing classes series yesterday. It was actually really fun. There were 12 couples total and all of us were due in July or August, even one in September. At one point, the instructor had the guys go outside and discuss all the ways life has changed since pregnancy, and had the girls do the same thing. It was so nice to hear everyone complaining discussing the same things I always think about, like leg cramps, forgetfulness, baby movement, baby gear, and tons of other fun topics. And the guys had a great time too..they came back laughing and all the ladies were like uh oh what did my husband say...Lol. It was great though and will be our home for the next 4 Saturdays from 9:30-11:30! Here's a picture on the way to the class...

Nursery painting is officially underway! Tony and his dad are priming the room as we speak. Probably will paint the actual color next weekend. SO exciting! Here is the before shot...

Our paint choices. We went with pink #4!

And of course we have to include a pic of the puppies. The first is Zoey at the dog park yesterday.

The second is showing how spoiled they are. They aren't allowed up on the bed until they are invited, usually about 8:30, an hour or so before we get up. Here they are this morning.
